Long Lost Star Trek Script Found

300px TOSopeninglogo Long Lost Star Trek Script Found

This original version was rewritten into an unfunny comedy by the line producer Gene Coon apparently unaware that Uncle Miltie was also a serious dramatic actor and a good one. It t was so bad that I complained to Roddenberry.

“This is so lousy, Gene, that you should kill it!” I told him. “You can’t, you shouldn’t, shoot this thing! Read it and weep!”

Gene did, and he agreed with me. I killed my second Star Trek, which, down through the years has cost me tens of thousands of dollars in lost residuals.

Rumor has it that the Phase II guys have gotten their hands on the script and are planning on filming it.

The 15 Most Devastating Space Vessels in the Star Trek Universe – via Topless Robot

320x240 The 15 Most Devastating Space Vessels in the Star Trek Universe via Topless Robot

In the Star Trek universe created by Gene Roddenberry, there are a myriad of iconic images many people remember: Green Orion slave girls, the Borg, phasers, heroes, villains, and that big-headed alien that Clint Howard pretends to be that shows up at the end of the credits of the original series, and more. But take anyone off the street, and odds are they can identify at least one incarnation of the USS Enterprise. Starships have long been one of the easily recognizable parts of Star Trek lore; while Roddenbery’s vision of the future was for the most part peaceful, with brains far exceeding brawn, not all conflict could be resolved by hugging it out.

lots of videos, and I whole heartedly disagree with #1 (and it seems like the guy at TR has no idea WHY it’s so damn powerful), but this list actually reminded me that I missed a couple dozen ENTERPRISE episodes, one of which apparently took place in the Mirror Mirror verse, which reminds me, all the trek episodes are on Netflix… though none of the movies are, wtf.

Hallmark has taken an iconic scene from the original Star Trek series and added it to their ever increasing lineup of nerdy Christmas ornaments. It also includes dialog from the show.

I have every ornament from the star trek line going back to the second one. dammit, I don’t own the first one. ugggggggh.

Star Trek Enterprise Light-Up Feeding System

e578 star trek light up feeding system anim Star Trek Enterprise Light Up Feeding System

Starfleet technology certainly made eating easier. We yearn for the day when we can walk over to a food slot, shove in our card, and get a sandwich and a coffee. Or a little later, when we have a bigger budget and can ask for tea, Earl Grey, hot and have it materialize before our eyes. Especially with our time so crunched because of the wee geeks in our care.

Introducing the Star Trek Light-Up Feeding System, with starship spoon and motion sensitive, light-up bib. The spoon is a replica of The Original Series USS Enterprise NCC-1701, captained by James T. Kirk himself. Flashing LEDs on the nacelles keep baby aligned for mess-free docking at the face station, while lights on the bib act like a tractor beam for you. Dinnertime won’t be this fun again until we get replicators!
